Chateau in France Chateau in France


Many years ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a month in a 13th century castle that operated a ceramics school. I recently received this wonderful photograph of the Chateau de Ratilly, at night --- under a full moon. I want to share it with you. Legend has it that the castle is haunted by the ghost of a Jansenist priest who was killed while seeking refuge in the castle. Perhaps that is his ghost in the picture. Jansenism was a sect within the Catholic Church which arose in the context of the Counter-Reformation in Europe. Legend also has it that the Jansenist priest left behind a treasure...
